The final quarter of 2020 saw interesting activity in the pirate game category on Android within Latin America, with Sensor Tower data providing insights into downloads and weekly active users.
Last Pirate: Survival Island, by RetroStyle Games UA, showed a strong performance with downloads climbing from 19K in the last week of September to over 100K in the final week of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at 30K and soaring to over 125K by year-end.
Pirate Attack, developed by IEC Global Pty Ltd, experienced a fluctuating trend with downloads peaking at 27K in the final week of December, after a trough in mid-November. The active users count also reflected this pattern, with a significant rise to 90K active users in the last week of the year.
Helio Games' Mutiny: Pirate Survival RPG saw its downloads spike to nearly 20K in the week following its late October release, followed by a gradual decline to 7K by the end of December. The weekly active users peaked at 20K in November and then decreased to just under 10K.
